Since ancient times, people generally thought that wearing bead accessories not only for the outlook, it is also an amulet, it can help get rid of evils and bring good luck. In the olden days, each different material of the bead carried a very touching myth behind. There are many different colours in natural agates, some of them have natural totem patterns as well, in the eyes of the ancestors, it was undoubtedly sacred present from Heaven. The natural line-eye totem agate was being categorized as dZi-tshang, which is lower grade than dZi by the Tibetans. The natural agates which carried complete dZi totem are in fact even rarer than dZi, thus whether the gradings are high or low is due to the majority people have different tastes and the perception on the object. Among all friends, quite a lot of them still adored the natural agate bead with totems, some of them requested S.C. to write something about the natural agate beads, unfortunately this is not yet within the writing plan of S.C., perhaps several years later, when everything is ready then it will be reconsidered. The agate beads below are mostly from West Asia, some individual ones are from South Asia and Tibet.
